Hi,
my name is Jeff. Like most owners of classic Mustangs
(that's our car on the left), my wife and I have always
had a few Mustang toys sitting around our house, mostly
diecast replicas of Mustangs we wished we owned but
probably never would. You know the cars . . . a 1970
Boss 302, a 1967 Shelby GT500, a 1966 Shelby GT350,
etc.
Then one day, as I was passing through an antiques store
looking for old Mustang automobilia, I stumbled upon
an old tin Mustang toy, a Taiyo
Bump'N Go Mach 1. I instantly fell in love with
it and paid more than it was worth to bring it home.
It was my first exposure to these tin cars and it wasn't
long before I wanted more of them.
In the 11 years since that original purchase, my collection
and understanding of the cars and their makers have
grown. I've even published a few articles on tin toy
Mustangs, most recently a full-page article in Toy
Shop magazine. I hope you enjoy viewing these cars
as much as I've enjoyed owning them!
