Diecast Cars |
 |
|
Diecast
cars are a field of collecting all their own, whether it's
Hot Wheels or 1:18 scale replicas. Beginning in the late 1970s
and through current day, thousands of different diecast toys
and collectibles resembling Hot Wheels, Matchbox and Johnny
Lightning produced dozens of varieties of 1:64 scale Mustangs
from diecast metal. In 1:18 scale diecast collectible models
you can likely find your favorite year Mustang in your favorite
exterior color with your favorite wheels with little effort.
While the focus of this site is the vintage period, where
tin, pressed steel and plastic ruled, there are some very
nice examples of miniature Mustangs produced from diecast
that we'll include here.

Lane Collectables' 1966 Shelby G.T.350S
Scale:
1:18
Description:
Part of Lane Collectables' Exact Detail Series is
this replica of an actual factory supercharged Shelby
(No. 6S051). The die-cast replica was the result of
"thousands of hours of research and development,"

of the interior and the engine
compartment, it's not difficult to believe there
is truth to that statement. This limited edition car
was released in 2000.
